Today is the Feast Day of St. Mark, our patron saint. Here you see our relics of St. Mark with St. Paul, St. Barnabas and St. Peter, the three disciples whom he traveled with to spread the news of Jesus Christ. Mark appears to have been close to the Apostle Peter, because Peter refers to him as “Mark, my son” (1 Peter 5:13) in a letter addressed to several Christian communities.
