Kary Mullis received a Nobel Prize in chemistry in 1993, for his invention of the polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The process, which Kary conceptualized in 1983, is hailed as one of the monumental scientific techniques of the twentieth century.Kary Mullis officially died of pneumonia in the middle of summer, on August 7th, 2019, (IYKYK) at the age of 74. This brilliant scientist was the first to say that PCR technology could not be used for diagnostic purposes.What is certain is that the father
