Picking some Coral Tooth Mushroom (Hericium coralloides), this a toothy branched relarive if the Lions Mane growing on a fallen oak tree here in the Napa Valley. These are execllent edible mushrooms that are easy to identify. My favorite way to cook them is to turn them into faux “crab” cakes, by cooking them down then mixing with eggs, bread crumbs, and seasoning to make a killer vegetarian “crab” cake.
