After watching a video on YouTube, 7 year old Alanna Buitrago wanted to get involved. Alanna's mother brought her into "Lollipop Salon" to have her hair cut and the owner Miguel Barreto decided he wanted to help too. Miguel and his wife, Paola set out to videotape the entire process starting at "Lollipop" and ending at the "Locks of Love" office.
