Today in Segovia, I stood beneath the towering arches of the largest surving Roman aqueduct, all 167 arches and something shifted. A spiritual awakening, of sorts. I'm not sure how it will shape my ceramic work just yet, but the presence of that ancient engineering, the weight of history in each stone, stirred something deep in me.
