I’m building a GIGANTIC hugelkulture. This thing is 6ft tall and it will hopefully provide a lot of nice benefits for growing food on. Hugelkultures is layers of rotten wood covered with dirt. As the wood breaks down it will feed the soil and turn into more soil. It will also soak up and hold water like a sponge so it won’t need any irrigation. The Hugel mound also increases growing space by almost double because you plant on both sides of the 6ft tall mound. #diy #offgrid #homestead #hugelkultu
