There appears to be a change in venues for the early January tapings of WWE RAW and SmackDown. WWE’s flagship show, RAW, airs every Monday on Netflix around the world, while SmackDown broadcasts on the USA Network locally on Fridays,
WWE has officially announced a location swap for upcoming episodes of "Monday Night Raw" and "Friday Night SmackDown" scheduled for early 2026. This comes during a busy period for the company as it prepares for "Saturday Night's Main Event" this weekend in Salt Lake City.
Earlier this month, WWE revealed a number of dates for both 2025 and early 2026. The schedule originally called for Barclays Center in Brooklyn to host the January 2 episode of WWE SmackDown. Furthermore, the KeyBank Center in Buffalo was set to host the January 5 episode of WWE Raw.
On the heels of a Saturday Night's Main Event that saw a new world heavyweight champion crowned in the form of CM Punk, WWE rolled into Rio Rancho, New Mexico for a jam-packed episode of Raw that featured the start of the build to Survivor Series on November 29.
"WWE Raw" stars LA Knight and JD McDonagh are advertised for a match on "Friday Night SmackDown," but it likely won't air.
