A lawsuit filed by University High in Baton Rouge’s 19th Judicial District Court on Friday morning has prompted the LHSAA to delay its scheduled Sunday release of football playoff brackets.

The Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) announced they’re going to delay the release of the football playoff brackets because of litigation with one of the member schools. The brackets were supposed to be released on Sunday but all eight brackets will be delayed until the legal process has been concluded.

Anxiety prior to the LHSAA’s release of its football playoff pairings is nothing new. Coaches go through it each year, awaiting a Sunday morning bracket release.
