Las Vegas enters Wednesday afternoon with a 3-0 record. After flexing its offense in wins over Illinois and Washington, Nevada needed a run in the seventh inning to get by South Carolina on Monday. Pennsylvania used one big inning to run away with a 13-1 win over South Dakota on Monday night.

The Washington representatives fell in the third round of the Little League World Series tournament, taking home a 1-2 record in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, PENNSYLVANIA— Summerlin South Little League of Nevada, the Mountain Region champions, knocked off Bonney Lake/Sumner LL of Washington, the Northwest winners, 5-3 in a battle between two Western squads that headlined the third day of action in Williamsport on Friday.

The team from Massachusetts took a 2-1 lead before Washington responded with two runs in the second inning to win.

For the second time this week, Oregon’s Little League World Series representative took a tough loss to Washington. This time, it was a 6-1 defeat for Murrayhill in the Northwest Regional finals in San Bernardino, California.
