Google is testing a new search bar in Chrome for Android that adds AI Mode and moves the other shortcuts below

As Microsoft Edge is Windows' default browser, many users often use it to download Chrome through the Bing search engine. Many will know that the browser often delivers a message stating why it's worth using Bing instead, but Windows Report has noticed a new comparison banner pops up.

Perplexity’s AI-enabled web browser, Comet, can send emails and schedule meetings as well as provide answers to questions.

OpenAI has its work cut out — Google Chrome, which is used by more than three billion people, currently holds more than two-thirds of the worldwide browser market, according to web analytics firm StatCounter. Apple’s second-place Safari lags far behind with a 16% share. Last month, OpenAI said it had three million paying business users for ChatGPT.

This latest incident marks the fourth actively exploited zero-day vulnerability fixed in Chrome this year. It follows three other security flaws: CVE-2025-2783 disclosed in March, CVE-2025-4664 patched in May, and CVE-2025-5419 addressed in June. Each of these vulnerabilities were considered critical and patched through emergency updates.

The upcoming release of Google Chrome version 139 will no longer support MacOS 11 upon its release later this month on July 30.
