An ABC News panel blamed President Donald Trump after part of the MAGA base turned on him for dropping the case against Jeffrey Epstein's alleged co-conspirators. During a Sunday discussion, This Week host Jonathan Karl wondered if the "boys and gals of Team MAGA" would let the Epstein matter drop.

The Trump administration is facing significant blowback from Democrats and MAGA supporters over its handling of the Epstein files.

Trump's stunning rebuke of his own base for their continued focus on the Jeffrey Epstein story has not been well received by many prominent MAGA influencers.

Trump's followers on Truth Social were not having it and accused the president of "gaslighting" and insisted his argument is "not holding water."

During his remarks, Trump asked Bondi if she felt like answering the reporter's question. "I don't mind answering," the attorney general replied. When the president finished speaking, Bondi addressed the reporter and cited an interview she did with Fox News in February, which she said had "been getting a lot of attention."

Attorney Spencer Kuvin, who represents one of Epstein’s victims, shared: "We certainly knew that Mr. Trump was a close friend of Mr. Epstein during those exact years that Mr. Epstein was molesting these young girls. "These are two gentlemen that definitely ran in the same circles."

The Epstein affair had the hallmarks of a conspiracy theory. He was a rich financier with a Jewish surname and powerful acquaintances, including Bill Clinton, a former president, and Prince Andrew, a British royal.

Fox News hosts Charles Hurt and Rachel Campos-Duffy said Sunday President Donald Trump and his team should publicly address lingering questions about the Epstein investigation, arguing that only a full explanation — like detailing witnesses and interviews — can calm the unrest stirred by the president’s own Truth Social post.
