Q:
We’re planning to visit Zermatt end-May next year. Will there be skiing options for beginners - classes/ beginners slopes?
A:
For beginners, the skiing season in Zermatt is December to March (sometimes mid-April). At the end of May only the higher elevations might be open, but they are not suited for beginners.

But I do not ski and I do not intend to do this. I want to make a trip towards Matterhorn film & eat there after that I’m planing on going back into town. is this possible? and if so how can I best arrange this?
A:
Not sure how much snow you'll have in june but yes you don't need to be a skier to reach the top.

You can get the app SKIGIUDE ZERMATT - it’s blue with an image of the Matterhorn. This might provide some info on which weather conditions cause closure. We were there in June and the lifts closed due to wind the day we planned to ski. Zermatt is beautiful regardless and I highly recommend staying in the village.
Q:
Does anyone know at what wind speed the lift closes?
A:
Get the app called SKIGUIDE-ZERMATT it’s blue with a half white Matterhorn
